36 week check-up

I went in for my 36 weeks checkup on Tuesday. We had another ultrasound and it showed me being at 38 weeks and the baby weighing 6 1/2 pounds. So, he is showing to be a large baby if I go 4 more weeks. The Dr checked me and I haven't changed any since last week. I am still 1 cm dilated although, Dr Stutts thought the baby was still high up. We are concerned with the size of the baby and whether or not I can deliver him if he grows any larger so Dr Stutts suggested a C-section and told me to make a decision before my next visit coming up this Tuesday. He is concerned that the baby is too large and I will have a long and difficult labor like I had with Hunter. He looked back in my chart and I was in labor 20 hours with Hunter and he only weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces and was 20 inches long. He wasn't a big baby but too big for mommy but he was finally delivered but Mommy had alot of pain and my blood pressure was elevated and Hunter's heart rate was dropping. So we have a big decision to make. We are leaning toward having the c-section but the only thing is that we have moved into a new house that has 2 flights of stairs and I am concerned with getting up them. I can stay downstairs but the shower is upstairs. I am sure we will figure things out when the time comes. It wont be for long. The recovery for a c-section is 4 weeks but I have talked to several people that say after 2 weeks, it gets so much better. I know that Bryan and Hunter will help me out alot.

We are finally moved into our new house and things are starting to settle down some but still so much to do. We still have some things sitting around in boxes so if you come by to visit, walk past it and try to ignore it. Ha Ha! The nursery is completed and I am so glad of that. I was so afraid it wouldn't be done in time but its done except for some decorating. I have hit the nesting face in my pregnancy. I have been decorating for Christmas and getting things ready for the baby to get here. There is so much bed rest a girl can take. I have cleaned this big house so many times but its a wreck today and I feel like crap and just cant make myself do it. Its hard to keep a house clean when no one picks up after themselves. I will try to re post again next week after the Dr and let you know the day the C-section will be scheduled. I will post some pictures of the house later. My compute is slow right now.

33 week Check-Up ( Matthew is on his way!)

We went to the Dr on Monday and I was measuring 35 weeks and only 5 pounds gained in 8 months so Dr Stutts wanted to make sure if the baby was weighing big and I was further along or if I had too much fluid around the baby. I had some ketones in my urine and Dr Stutts fussed at me for skipping meals. I haven't felt like eating much more than one meal a deal lately. We have been moving the past 2 weeks and things are so hectic and busy here. I am really starting to get very tired in these last weeks of pregnancy.
Anyway, I went back yesterday and had another ult
rasound and Matthew is weighing 5 pounds or more and they moved up my due date. Fluid was great around him, he's just gaining weight fast. They are gonna do another ultrasound November 18th to check his weight. Dr Stutts doesn't want him getting too big that I cant deliver on my own. Hunter weighed 7lb 7 oz and I had a terrible time delivering him naturally. I really do not want a C-Section, so he is gonna watch his weight and see what the plan is on the 18th. They are thinking I may deliver around Thanksgiving or the fist week of December. The ultrasound technician said that they have to be very careful with little baby white boys "Little White Boy Syndrome" b/c they tend to gained weight faster than their lungs develop and they didn't want to induce before his lungs finish developing. I ask everyone to please pray for this little man. This has been a long road and I know God will take care of everything in the end. We are just so excited about meeting him and bringing him home to our new house. Although, I still have everything sitting around in boxes and the nursery hasn't even been started yet. Bryan has been working at his normal job and hasn't had a break when he works off b/c we had so much to move. It took us literally 2 weeks to move our stuff. Lets just say, This Spring, we will have a big major yard sale. haha! Anyway, my shower is scheduled to go on as planned even though Matthew may already be here or we may be in the hospital. Its gonna be November 30th at my friend Chasity's house. I have posted a picture of the invitation.
